Rojas' RBI Single in Extras Secures Postseason Spot

Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Johan Rojas delivered a clutch RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning Tuesday night, securing a 3-2 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates and sending the Phillies to the MLB playoffs for the second consecutive season.

With two outs and runners on first and third, Rojas lined a sharp single to right field, scoring Brandon Marsh and igniting a wild celebration at Citizens Bank Park. The Phillies' players erupted in joy, mobbing Rojas at first base and celebrating their hard-fought victory.

The walk-off hit capped off a thrilling game that saw the Phillies rally from an early deficit. The Pirates took a 2-0 lead in the first inning, but the Phillies chipped away at the lead, tying the game in the sixth on a Bryce Harper home run.

Both teams traded zeroes in the late innings, sending the game to extra innings. In the top of the 10th, the Pirates loaded the bases with one out, but Phillies reliever Seranthony Dominguez escaped the jam with a strikeout and a groundout.

In the bottom of the 10th, Rojas came up big with his game-winning hit. After the game, he spoke about the significance of his walk-off and the team's resilience throughout the season.

"It's an incredible feeling to be able to contribute in such a big way," Rojas said. "We've faced a lot of adversity this season, but we've never given up. This team has a lot of heart, and we're not going anywhere."
