Earthquake Rattles Trump National Golf Club Property
Former President Donald Trump's golf club in New Jersey was hit by the 4.8 magnitude earthquake that rattled the tristate area on Friday. A map of the impact puts the epicenter just a stone's throw from Trump's famed Bedminster golf club.
The earthquake had a moment magnitude of 4.8 and a depth of 2.9 miles (4.7 km). Its epicenter was in Tewksbury Township, New Jersey at 40.689N 74.754W about 10 miles from the golf club.
While the epicenter was not on the Trump National Golf Club property, residents in Bedminster reported feeling the quake's impact. Stacey Rogers of Bedminster said she was in the shower when the earthquake hit. "It was like an out-of-body experience," she said.
The earthquake caused minor damage to some homes and businesses in the area, but no major injuries were reported.
