Acromantula, ridden by Jye McNeil, took out the Carlyon Stakes at Moonee Valley on Saturday 24th August 2024. The win was the first at stakes level for the three-year-old colt, who is trained by Danny O'Brien.

Acromantula settled midfield in the early stages of the race before improving his position on the turn. He hit the front in the straight and held on to win by a neck from Running Double, ridden by Craig Williams.
